About IUIU and Its Alumni Association
The Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) was established on 10 February 1988 through a collaboration between the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Government of Uganda. It was formalized by the Parliament of Uganda in 1990 and has since grown into a leading higher education institution serving students across East Africa and beyond.
The IUIU Alumni Association (IUIU‑AA) was formally registered on 12 August 2020 with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB). Its purpose is to unite former students under one umbrella, create fellowship, and support both alumni and their Alma Mater through networking, career development, mentorship, and collaborative initiatives.
