The country has lost a towering figure who stood at the helm of our national affairs for over 50 years, serving with dedication across different governments and national departments. To our community, however, he was much more than a national statesman he was a foundational pillar, a protective guardian, and an irreplaceable part of the IUIU family. Gen. Moses Ali will be remembered with deep reverence as one of the visionaries who passionately fought for the establishment of the Islamic University in Uganda. His connection to the institution spanned decades, notably through his invaluable service as a prominent member of the University Council, where his strategic guidance and leadership helped steer the university through various stages of growth. His commitment to our institution was formally celebrated in 2024, when the University proudly awarded him an Honorary Doctorate, cementing his status as a cherished alumnus of our community. On behalf of the entire IUIU Alumni Community, we would like to extend our most profound and sincere condolences to his family, the people of Adjumani, the University administration, and the entire nation. May Allah grant his family and our community perfect solace and patience during this profound time of bereavement. Yours Faithfully
