The initiative aims to inspire and guide secondary school students on academic excellence, career development, and personal growth. The mentorship session will bring together experienced alumni and professionals from different fields who will share knowledge and practical life experiences with the learners.
According to the organizers, the program is expected to attract students from ten neighboring secondary schools, creating a wider platform for young learners to interact with mentors and gain exposure to opportunities in higher education and leadership.
During the mentorship engagement, students will receive guidance on career choices, discipline, leadership, and the importance of pursuing higher education. The mentors will also emphasize the role of education in transforming communities and shaping responsible citizens.
The organizers noted that the outreach is part of the IUIU Alumni Association’s broader mission to give back to society by empowering young people with knowledge, motivation, and life skills necessary for success in their academic and professional journeys.
School administrators from the participating institutions have welcomed the initiative, saying it will help students develop confidence and gain clearer direction about their future career paths.
The mentorship program is expected to feature interactive discussions, motivational talks, and question-and-answer sessions, giving students an opportunity to engage directly with the mentors.
